Lilipeti & Tevita April 2009

What an interesting wedding this one was. A somewhat traditional service and big bridal party, but I loved it. They were all very kind and not afraid of the camera at all. They were so happy and jovial I think the pictures will show that. I was so impressed by the calm and composure of the Bride and Groom when so many things, pressures were happening around them. They had almost 500 guests and it was truly a wonderful opportunity to see some people in attendance at the reception whose weddings I had also done previously. The food was plentiful, the happiness was abundant and everyone wanted pictures. I have done a few Tongan and Samoan weddings now and whilst I don't understand the rituals and the speeches all the time I love seeing these people just have fun, everyone is welcome at an island wedding. I hope that Lili and Tevita have the best marriage and a lot of fun in their life together, they are wonderful people who certainly have legions of support around them. Not to mention the amount of expensive Tapa (native) cloths and blankets they were given! What I loved about this wedding was the richness of tradition and colour. Just beautiful.

Jo & Glenn April 2009

Jo & Glenn are wonderful people who had planned their wedding so very well. It largely went off like clockwork. From the very early hours as Jo and her bridesmaids were preparing for the day, a knock at the door revealed a courier with a special card, chocolates and a single stemmed, perfumed red rose. Jo and her father were particularly impressed with Glenn's attention to detail, and the buzz in the kitchen that morning was that none of us has seen another groom do that! Jo just radiated from within and was clearly struck by what Glenn had done. The wedding service performed by celebrant Helen Williams was sweet and right up until the end of the reception the day went off without a single hitch. Not withstanding there had been some major stresses for Jo when people the day and evening before the wedding, had let her down. Glenn's mum was not with us physically but the graciousness and the warmth with which she was acknowledged in speeches and announcements, whispered that she was certainly there with us all. This was a lovely evening and I am grateful I was able to produce these images for them.

Stefanie & Gavin March 2009

Out of the hundreds of weddings I have covered, there are a few that stand out in my mind as exceptional. This wedding would be one of them. The Bride Stefanie, has such a wonderful smile that is infectious to all around her. Both her, her family, bridesmaids and the whole bridal party including Gavin of course, were just so warm and genuine. I am very pleased with these images, I certainly hope they are. I love the rustic settings they scouted out, and I loved the flow of the day. They were married in Windsor, New South Wales and the pictures for location were there as well, with the reception at the wonderful Springfield House. They certainly know how to cater for an event there. I can see a bright future for Stefanie and Gavin, they are clearly besotted with each other. I sincerely thank them for choosing me to cover their special day, quite sincerely, it was wonderful.

Carolyn & Metuisela March 2009

Carolyn & Met were referred to me from one of Carolyn's relatives whose wedding I had covered some time ago and they were such a delight to photograph. They were so warm and generous. It was a particularly hot day and yet they were so unfazed by it. They knew what they wanted and were very clearly in love with each other. Their bridal party were a lot of fun as well. They went to long reef beach for the location pictures and the reception was inside Newington or Homebush bay. It was quite a nice venue as well. It was such a nice day and I am so proud to have met them and helped to create memories for the start of their lives together.

Thea Claire & Anastacio Feb 2009

Thea Caire is a niece on my wife's family side and she married her fiancee Anastacio after a 4 year courtship. They are so very much in love. I have seen them blossom and develop over the past few years and I am so proud of them. This wedding was in the Philippines a few weeks ago and whilst it was very humid, the wedding was beautiful. Both the bride and groom are fully fledged doctors, and many of the guests at their wedding were doctors themselves. Some of the very leading specialists of the central Philippine region were in attendance and were gracious and kind. Their wedding was made even more special when most of the family which spanned the globe came home to witness the wedding. Love has a way of reminding you what is exactly important in life. I know there is much joy and happiness ahead for them.

Lynne & Alex Feb 2009

Lynne and Alex were refered to me and what a wonderful honour it was for me to be of service to them. I found Lynne and her lovely daughter to be so relaxed and warm, so too with Alex. What a true love meeting. They are a mature couple who have really found their soul mates it would seem. Alex doted on his new bride and in their wedding vows, they even had lines like,

"For better or worse, including credit card shopping sprees, you promise to love her, til death do you part!"
They are such a fun couple and the guests and bridal party were equally as accommodating and warm. I wish this couple a long and prosperous marriage and life together. They will need it with the several references she made to the shopping sprees! God bless.

Kimberley & Jevan Jan 2009

Kimberley and Jevan are a wonderful young couple who are clearly in love with each other and clearly had such a fun day. This wedding was on a particularly hot day in January, and when they wanted to walk on the beach the sand was terribly hot, I think one of the bridesmaids actually burnt her feet! That said though, this bridal party was so relaxed, they were wanting to have a lot of fun, and they all did. They went home after the beach for some refreshment, those sandwiches were great Mrs. N! then we drove to Fagan Park at Galston for some shots and then on to Berowra waters for the reception. It was a beautiful place, beautiful people and beautiful day. I am confident the future is bright for this couple.
