Meg & Gavin Nov 2008

This was a lovely wedding to cover at the end of November. Meg and Gavin are tremendous people. I had covered the wedding of Gavin's sister some time ago and was asked to go and meet with them where they also chose me to cover their special day. In their package I included some pre wedding shots which they had made up into cards that were like bomboniere on each of the place settings at the reception, they went over like a treat. See below) The trouble with putting pictures up here on the blog for people to see is picking only a few to display here when there are so many I like - in most of the weddings I do these days I am averaging between 600-900 high quality images that the couple all end up with. I can honestly say, that there is not one single wedding I have covered that I am not very pleased with. I am proud of them all, and try on each occasion to show a little of the event and try to convey something of the style and beauty that I see within each of these couples. Meg and Gavin are no exception, their maturity, wisdom and friendship was delightful. The father of the groom indicated in his speech, That after the wedding comes the marriage (ATW-CTM), hence the number plate letters were changed on the car shot below. That speech alone will long live in my memory as one of the best I have ever heard at a wedding. There were many contented people who all felt as though we were part of a special night and inspite of the torrential downpour we received during the reception, there was much warmth and love for the Bride and groom within Araluen's lovely walls.

Marieke & Jonathon Nov 2008

Jonathon is the brother of Michael who married Erana in October, prior to this wedding. It was good to catch up with all the same family members and some new friends at the wedding. Jonathon married a wonderful young woman from Dutch extraction called Marieke. They made a very confident and warm couple who were so relaxed and calm throughout their day it was very nice to be an intrinsic part of helping to preserve their memories. I particularly loved the reception venue they chose which highlighted an old world charm and gave an ambience to the reception and to the photos that really stood out to me. The staff at the Eschol Park venue were exceptional and extremely courteous. Marieke & Jonathon are a beautiful couple with whom I extend the very sincerest wishes and future hopes to. Thank you for choosing Timeline.

Emily & Peter Nov 2008

Emily I had not met before the wedding day and Peter I knew from previous photographic dealings. He asked me to cover their wedding day and I must say I was thrilled to do it. I like Peter and had met his brother in another capacity and not made the connection until their wedding day. I really enjoyed covering this wedding. The ceremony and reception were held at a place in Leura in the Blue Mountains and whilst i have been to leura many many times, I had never been to this estate called the Everglades. It was a former home for a wealthy man during the war who made carpets and sold woolen blankets to the army during the war. This would have been a palatial estate during those years and still is, to me, today. It was divine. hIt was like discovering elements of a wedding thru new photographic eyes. As for Emily and Peter, what a truly lovely couple. I really appreciated them and found them to be a very easy going, no fuss couple. Emily is a graphic designer and did not want the prints of the wedding just the disc and so I was obliging. It added a small degree of pressure as I wanted the pictures to be the absolute best I can do, I always try for this outcome, but the Everglades took on a persona all of it's own. It is glorious. All the best you two, and thank you for choosing me to help make these memories special.
